Access Control

Meeting NSI NCP 10. Safe Access Managed.

Access Control Solutions

Did you know that around 20-25% of businesses face severe risks of permanent closure following a major security breach or significant theft incident? Downtime, lost revenue/stock, insurance premium increases, reputational harm, and high recovery costs can force many to shut down permanently within months or a couple of years. A high-quality access control system is your first and most critical line of defence. It restricts entry to authorised personnel only—preventing unauthorised access, theft, vandalism, and insider threats—while providing detailed audit trails for monitoring who enters where and when. When paired with regular risk assessments, CCTV integration, trained staff, clear security protocols, and optional 24/7 remote management, a dependable access control setup significantly reduces the chance of a minor breach escalating into a business-threatening loss.

It depends on the exact system selected after your site survey. All access control solutions we recommend include secure remote management (via web portal and/or mobile app) so you can add/remove users, lock/unlock doors, view real-time status, and run reports from anywhere. We will confirm the specific remote features available for your chosen system and provide a live demo before you proceed.

All equipment uses encrypted communication (AES-256) and meets BS EN 50133 standards. We can install anti-tamper readers, use secure credentials (PIN + card or mobile credentials), and apply two-factor authentication on the management software. The system is fully GDPR compliant and we conduct a security audit as part of every install.

We recommend a simple annual maintenance contract with 2 planned service visits per year (battery checks, firmware updates, door alignment, full system test). This keeps everything reliable and prevents costly breakdowns. We quote the exact monthly/annual cost after the site visit – most customers find it very affordable and far cheaper than emergency call-outs.

Installation time varies depending on the size and complexity of the site. Smaller systems are often completed in 1–2 days, while larger commercial projects can take several days or up to a couple of weeks. We always plan the work around your operations (phased installation where possible, out-of-hours working, weekends if needed) to minimise disruption and keep the site clean and tidy at all times. A detailed programme will be provided after the site survey.

Yes. Our systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing fire alarms (for emergency door release per BS 7273-4), CCTV, and most door hardware (maglocks, strikes, exit buttons). We carry out a free compatibility check during the site visit and confirm everything before ordering equipment.
